I mow the lawn, jog, and sprint with my video with absolute ease...
It all comes down to what you got/want. Here is a good guide

Get the Video if you have/want to....
to travel a lot and like to watch videos on the trip
have a large music library 1000+ songs (100+ CD's)
want the best value
easiest to use

Get the Nano if you have/want to...
only have several CD's (under 1000 songs)
get the most portibale iPod
buy the lesser expensive iPod
get the sexiest iPod

why did they not make the Nike thing compatible with the Video?
Probably for a variety of reason but since I don’t work for Apple or Mike marketing, anything I suggest would be a guess.

The Nano is a better choice vs. the 5G because of the size.
Teh 5G weighs 3 times as much as a Nano. Not much to the average schmoe, but 3 onces to a marathon runner is a lot.

It’s also, “not available” for the Shuffle.

From the description for the XtremeMac SportWrap for iPod.
“Whether you're biking, jogging, walking or working out, SportWrap for iPod makes it easy to take your tunes with you.“

From the description for the Incase Sports Case with Armband for iPod
“Feel free to take your iPod with video along to the gym, the field or the track. The Incase Sports Case with armband makes sure it's protected and you're comfortable.“

What’s your point?

The point is, you wouldn't want to jar your COMPUTER hard drive in a jogging manner, why would you want to do it with a smaller one hard drive?

MY OPINION is the Nano (or the shuffle) is better suited for active sports than any iPod with a hard drive. Any iPod is fine for walking. I've seen many issues on these boards caused by jogging with an iPod with a hard drive. shrugs
