- You have to actually connect a camera or insert an SD card. Hopefully you got this one. :-)
- Have you put your camera into USB mode?

If the SD card did not come form a camera, you need to place the pictures inside a folder called DCIM, and give them names that are exactly 8 characters long plus 3 for the extension.

You cannot transfer anything but photos and videos. No documents or music or anything like that.
