I just updated iTunes from 10.xxx to 10.6.3 (why, I don't know) — I really didn't need to and I shouldn't have.

I have my media stored on an external drive.

The library file is still on my main hard drive. Everything worked perfectly until the update.

I just imported music and the new media is being stored on my main hard drive. How do I fix this? Thanks!

Open iTunes Preferences, select Advanced, and click on the button labeled Change... to select your iTunes folder on the external drive.
