Unable to delete leftover files from an uninstalled program

Hi All,

I am having an issue with deleting, some leftover files from an uninstalled program.

I am using a Mac Book Pro, Lion OS X, Version 10.8.3

When I tried to delete the files (which was not deleted along with the program) noting would happen, I can’t even drag and drop those files.

Only when I double click on the files, a pop-up appears stating that: The alias “file name” can’t be opened because the original item can’t be found.

I have tried a few methods like “repair disk” from disk utility but still it can’t be moved or deleted.

I hope someone could help me with this issue.
