My IPAD serial no. is J3******Z38 and I coulnt find Software Update option is the setting catagory of the iPAD. Now Please advice me how to update my software.

It is not safe to pulicize your serial number. For your protection I have pointed it out to the hosts, who may remove it. But the post will stay.

Tap Settings > General > Software Update
The option to update without the computer (Over the air) was made available with iOS 5. If your iDevice is using a version of iOS lower than 5, you will need to use iTunes on your syncing computer to perform the upgrade. Use the Apple link below as a guide for the upgrade.
