Does any body know how to configure an iPad 4 with a Brother MFC-J6510DW printer which are both on the same network? Thank you.

It is, it is in the list of enabled printers. This is why I posted the question as I've wracked my brains trying to get them to work together.
Go to the Brother printer website and try to find out if a firmware update is available for your printer. If there is one, download it on your computer and install the update on your printer.
Make sure the printer have the latest firmware.
