iTunes doesn't recognize my iPhone 4S on Windows 7

iTunes doesn't recognize my brand new iPhone 4S when I plug it in. Windows 7 think it's a digital camera. I've tried everything on the assistant linked below, from restarting the computer to reinstalling iTunes and using msconfig. Is there something I'm missing here? I would guess it has something to do with the driver software but don't know if that's true or how to change it.

I used the support link and followed the instructions. However it did not fix my problem. The device driver still not install. I did the screenshots and went into the device manager but it did not appear under any of the devices. Any further help would be great.

I had the same exact problem and solved the problem by using an original Apple USB cable.
