migrating mail date issues

I recently migrated all my data from my external hard drive to my new macbook pro and now some of the dates of the emails that were under the 'on my mac' section of Mail have the wrong date on them. How do I rectify this?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

Did you try rebuilding your mailbox? In mail go to your mailbox then select rebuild.

Hi Eric, thanks for the tip. I had forgotten about that, however there are still a couple that now have taken today's date. Any suggestions for those?
