Jun 9, 2013 11:29 AM in response to Demoby Miburgess,I have used the personal hotspot on my laptop and the current contract I have on the iPhone has unlimited Internet so am I safe to assume it will support the Internet on the iPad 4 ?? Do I simply connect the iPhone 4 to the iPad 4 using the standard USB charger which came with the iPhone?

Jun 9, 2013 11:37 AM in response to Miburgessby Demo,Unlimited Internet is different than the carrier supporting the hotspot feature. I don't have an iPhone or an iPad with cellular. My limited knowledge about the hotspot is from reading support articles about it and from what I have read here in the forum.
I don't know that circumstances with the carriers have changed, but initially, the was an extra cost to enable the hotspot feature on the iDevice. I believe that Verizon was charging an additional $20 per month for the feature. Check out the support article that I posted above.
This is copied from that article that I posted above.
Note: If you do not see the option for Personal Hotspot, confirm with your carrier that this feature is supported and your wireless plan is configured for Personal Hotspot. For additional troubleshooting, see this article.
