Q: when i purchase a movie on apple tv, it takes 14 hours to download and then i only have 8 hours left to watch it - and then while watching it, it starts downloading again, HELP

Every time I purchase a movie on Apple TV, it seems to take a good 12 to 14 hours to download.  And once I'm able to start watching it, it stops in the middle and starts downloading all over again - HELP!

Sounds like your internet connection is really slow.

 

Movies from itunes are very large files. typically around 1.2 to 1.5 GB in size double that if they are in HD.

 

If your internet connection it too slow they can take a really long time to download. You may want to contact your Internet service provider and ask for a faster connection.

 

The only other thing to do is to wait until the movie is fully downloaded before starting to watch it. In the US iTunes store rentals have a 30 day life span as long as you don't start to watch them. Then they have 24 hours once started, and can be watched as many times as you want during those 24 hours.

    What is the speed of your internet connection? 14 hours is an extremely long time to download a movie.
