Q: How do I use apple TV to run my computer or iPad?

I am trying to use Pandora (a music website from the Internet) from my computer and/or iPad on my apple TV but for some reason I can only access things from iTunes on my apple TV.  How can I show my screen from my computer on my apple TV?

Apple TV (3rd Generation), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)
