Anyone help. Updated to 3.4.5 today and now Aperture requires a serial number when I click on it to open. I originally purchased via App Store and that is also showing as uninstalled and requiring me to re-install??

How did you update?
if yyou did not update from the AppStore, move your current Aperture version to the Trash (you do not need to empty the Trash) and then re-install from the AppSTore.

Hi thanks leonieDF I did update from the AppStore as normal which is why it is really strange. In the end I did move Aperture to the trash and reinstalled it to make it work again.

Sometimes, if the downloaded installer has a problem - transmission errors or something, you get this strange behaviour. Then the best option is to reinstall.
3.4.5 now requires a serial number but I bought from app store
