SMC Issue. Magsafe flashing green.

Hopefully an apple genius out there can help me with my problem....

I've had a liquid spill on my macbook which was cleaned up an resoldered 7 months ago. It's been fine.

Recently however it's not been accepting a charge. No light from the magsafe when plugged in.

If I try an SMC reset plugging the magsafe in before the battery, I get a flashing green light and can't get any power.

The only way I can get power is:

1) disconnect the mains plug from socket for 5 mins then reinsert.

2) remove battery (ensuring the battery has some power in it)

3) press power button for 8 secs

4) reinsert battery

5) boot the machine by pressing the power button

6) insert the magsafe connector at exactly the point where the screen turns from black to grey on a battery boot.

7) I get a solid green light from the magsafe connector for 5 secs

8) Then a solid amber light whilst the battery charges

9) the charge reaches 99%

10) in what seems like its own time, the mag connect turns off (no power) no light

11) computer remains on battery and in sleep mode. The battery drains at a rate of 25-30% over 12hrs with the cover down.

12) I return to my computer with a 70+% charge.

....and repeat.

Please can anyone help?
