Depending on the context, I'd guess Millimeters?
mm = millimetre.
ta for answers people . BUT my question , what is '' mm '' derived from ;identifying ipads ; where , looking at model 1460 , at the end of the sentence.... wi-fi and cellular is ( mm ) new ideas ?
thanks r
Can you post a link or screen shot of what you are looking at ?
Sorry, you'll need to link us to where you are seeing this.
ok, apple... identiying ipad models [ GOOgle that } scroll down till specs on model 1460 [ and some others }read with the care that I did
thanks again
You can see the model number in Settings>General>About>Model. The model number has a two-letter code, a number and some more letters. The last part stands for the country/region. The first letter can be "F" (refurbished), "M" (normal retail), or "P" (personalized / engraved). For example MC605B is the model MC605 and B is for the region.
Cheers, Tom 😉
thanks Tom, but its not an answer to my Q.

Instead of telling us to google a phrase. Please link us to the page where you are seeing "mm". Maybe we can determine if it something other than Millimeters as indicated in the first and second replies to your question.
The MM or Millenium Media according to what I can find, refers to the CDMA variation of the Cellular iPad for Verizon Networks.
The non MM version is for GSM carriers like AT&T.
My apologies for inappropriate postings. its to the best of my abilities... I found said info while trying to find what model ipad i have , and there it is . glad ive provided a tough one..
There is no indication that MM stands for Millennial Media, but it does seem as though the MM versions support CDMA networks. I think they also support 3G/4G GSM networks, and that MM stands for "multi-market." Of course, I'm just guessing, but that seems like the most logical explanation.
When I answered this qestion, I found a couple sources that cited it as such. MM=Millenial Media.
I can no longer find them though. But it was based on severla Google searches.
Not sure if you can find MM mark from here : General->About->Legal->Regulator
I was trying to find model number, so there it was on top.
