My lovely Mom bought a iPhone 5 and gave me her 4s so I could stop using my Android. Only one issue: I hate texting with a full keyboard!
Is there any way to have the old fashion way of texting on the iPhone 4s where you just use the number keys? Thanks!

I like everything about iphone except that it doesn't support a 3*4 keypad. I just can not understand why apple have not added support for it. What could be the possible downgrade of not having a phonepad keyboard. Seems like most of the people are not aware of T9 prediction feature which 3*4 keypads provide. I hear people saying that you can type more efficiently in qwerty keypad. But i bet i can beat anybody who types in qwerty with a 3*4 keypad of mine with T9 prediction in speed, accurary and everything else. Even though iphone 4 and 5 are merely compact, but due to their keypad issue, we have to hold them with both hands while typing, it even causes strain in my hands if i type for longer time, and at the same time you have to be very cautious while typing as you might end up tapping some other key. I request anybody who comply with my points to raise this concern here. So that they might take our suggestion under consideration. The only bad thing about iphone is that it doesn't support a 3*4 keyboard. Hope my words reaches to appropriate authority.

Know of any apps that will allow you to do it? I know I can use landscape and get bigger keys for texting, I just really miss using number keys.
There may be apps that have that keyboard within the app. You'll need to search the App Store. However, there is no way to add a keyboard layout to the phone to be used in all apps.
