I keep getting a message "registry settings used by iTunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing". What can I do to fix this?

I am having the same issue. I downloaded and installed the latest version if iTunes and still get the message


"The registry settings used by the iTunes drivers for importing and burning CDs and DVDs are missing. This can happen as a result of installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall iTunes.


So, if the fix is to download and reinstall iTunes, and that does not work, what is next?
