Time Machine problem

Keep getting message:

"Unable to complete backup. An error occurred while creating the backup folder. Latest successful backup: Yesterday, 6:45 PM"

How do I rectify?

Time Machine-OTHER, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.3)
