Do you have World of Warcraft installed on the iPod?
Are you having any problems with the iPod?
I do not have that game, and yes I am having problems. My notifications randomly repeat, only from certain apps like mailbox and instagram. It happens sometimes for ten minutes, then the next for day 4 hours. If you looked at my recent 'discussions' it would explain everything in more detail. I have pop-ups or redirected web pages that are always ****, and I always thought that was impossible with iOS.
What do you mean "tethered" iPod touch?
It means not jailbroken.
I assumed at least. I might be wrong, but my iPod is not jailbroken.
Googling shows that is seems to be a programng instruction.
Have you tried the standard fixes:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
Programming instructions? How is that possible, I haven't update anything recently. Your link lead me to a blank google page.
It appears to be a program instruction. Something a programmer uses to make an app run or maybe it is an instruction that is part of the iOS.
Google for
what is "iswowenabled"
Ok I did, the first two result are this discussion. The rest is completely unreadable, and has nothing to do with iOS or Apple products. Still unanswered.
most programing instructions are used in other operating systems besides iOS.
In here
http://www.shouldiblockit.com/murocapi.dll-9f6141e983b06ce1949cb10a884ac5f8.aspx
iswowenabled is listed as an output table
Again, I have no idea where you get your information from, I also viewed that page and found nothing pertaining to 'iswowenabled'. What are captive sessions? Do you actually know anything about malware and iOS devises? You have answered questions to many of my post here at apple discussions, makes me wonder if that's all you do.
stevejobsfan1234 can you add any insight to this topic?
It looks like it is Wake on Wireless. I saw it mentioned on this thread: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2561028?start=45&tstart=0
