Calendar will not sync with iPhone5

Using OSX 10.8.4 on a Mac mini late 2012 model, trying to sync Calender on mac to calender on my iphone 5 running ios 6.1.4

No matter how many youtube videos I watch or how many threads I read, my iphone calender will not sync with the calender on my mac. Any ideas?

I have both my mac and iphone setup in icloud settings just as described in every video. Everything syncs just fine, from notes, contacts, reminders, photostream, it all works as expected except for calander.

Please Help!
