This is the tab key... i spent forever searching through the characters to find this symbol. There must be an easy way to type it...?

    Apple Menu > System Preferences > Language & Text (or similar) and look for something like this.

    Enable the Keyboard Character viewer and the Show Input menu in menu bar, it will appear in the upper right hand corner so you can click it and get these.

    Drag and drop from the Character pallet to your open document.


    Now that you have the ⇥ character you also can save it and other frequently used ones into a TextEdit file and place a alias shortcut on your Dock so you can open it quickly and copy and paste between programs.
