Any ideas why I'm seeing two hard drives on my iMac in disk utility?
I was trying to format an external hard drive and noticed in disk utility that I have a "Macintosh HD" with another indented "Macintosh HD" below it.
I have a newere iMac with a flash drive.
iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4)

You have a Mac with Fusion Drive. It's normal that Fusion Drive shows two Macintosh HDs: one is the partition used for Mac OS X and the other one is Fusion Drive. Don't worry about it
