Q: Is it possible to install iSight (from Apple LED Cinema Display 27") on a non Apple computer?

We are using on a few workstations DELL computers with an Apple LED Cinema Display 27"

 

I tried to get the camera to work. I installed a few "non supported" driver but it didn't worked. I also installed the bootcamp isight 64bit driver, but it doesn't work...

 

Is it somehow posssible to get it to work?

    After all you have tried, the only way I can suggest is if you can get a driver for the Apple LED display and its camera that is compatible with the operating system you are using on your DELL WSs.

     

    If you or your iT people cannot write the driver, the best place I can suggest you ask for help is the developer of the operating system (Windows® 7?) that you use.

     

    If all else fails, consider buying a separate USB-connected, Windows®-compatible camera.
