My Macbook pro was stolen at Dakar. I followed all the steps to find it, but I want to know if I need to be constantly logged into iCloud to see where the computer is once they use internet, or if I can also see it if I log in at a different time?

I need help with this. Any advice will be appreciated.

To see it when it is logged on, you have to be logged on at the same time. If the thief is knowledgeable, they may have restored it to factory condition and removed the Find My connection by know. All you can do is report the theft and keep trying to see if it appears. Be sure to change all passwords associated with accounts on the machine and report to your insurance company.
