Working in Disk Utility this afternoon, trying to connect a Firewire 800 drive, I noticed "decrypted File.DMG" showing on the left. What the heck is that? Here's a screen grab.

Apparently a disc image you worked with recently. Select it and try the Delete key to remove it or just ignore it.
