Q: Computer crashes when plugged in to display.

When I plug my macbook pro in to my thunderbolt display my computer crashes. Not all the time but I would say 90%. When I plug my wife's mac book air in to the TBD it works flawlessly.

My computer is fairly new, Nov, 2012, Retina display, 2.9 GHz Intel Core i7, 8 GB RAM.

My wife's computer is slightly older, maybe early 2012 or late 2011, non-Retina, 1.7 GHz Intel Core i5, 4GB RAM

I believe the TBD is the first generation TBD, non-Retina display.

Both computers are running 10.8.4

I also have a Logitec keyboard and mouse hooked up to the display but I don't think that is causing the problem.

Any thoughts?
