Rosetta in 1.6.8. - fails to install/launch/is it even there?
I just did a clean install of Snow Leopard on a Mac Pro 1,1. During the install I opted to install additional software - Rosetta.
So now I try to run a PowerPC application - PageMager6.5 - and no Rosetta comes into action. I have never used it before, so I'm not even sure how it's supposed to work but I read around the internet that it's supposed to run automatically for PPC applications.
I figured - maybe it didn't install. Inserted the OSX installation disk once more and installed optional software - Rosetta. It said the installation was successful. And - nothing.
There's no program called "Rosetta" in the Applications folder, and if I try to open a PPC file, Finder is clueless and wants me to specify an application to open it with.
What's the catch? What am I doing wrong?
The installation disk is Mac OSX 1.6.3. retail - MC573Z/A, if that means anything.
