What's the meaning of GSM Rev A for the iPhone 4?
I need to know, what does Rev A mean?!??!!

it's a certain type of the phone that determines which ipsw file you would download for beta versions of an iOS. the Rev A one means you've got an 8 GB iphone 4. please be sure to only use the beta if you're a paying developer 🙂

Both sentences here are innacurate. It applyies to non-beta too, it's applys to your phone itself. And Rev A doesn't not mean you've got an 8 GB iPhone 4.


Here's the correct way to identify your iPhone 4 GSM by model nummber (written on back of phone in tiny text, and in Settings > General > About):
