It sounds like you cannot update iTunes because a message about an invalid signature. I recommend downloading this update directly from our site and installing that file instead:
http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1614

I go to the link you gave and select the Windows 64bit version -> Download and it takes me straight to a pages saying '" Thank you for downloading ITunes" but it never does. I have the 'invalid signature problem' .

Oct 19, 2013 11:12 AM in response to Ex nihilby mscamel,This is happening with me, too. I've tried for over a year to download the latest version of iTunes but receive the same message.
Today I uninstalled iTunes and attempted to download it from the apple website as Shelia suggested and the same problem as E nihil had - it says Thank You but no download.
