Trying to download an app. The iphone prompts me for my appl id password about 5 or 6 times. Originally I thought I'd forgotten it, but now I know this isn't the case. Then I get to the payment verification. Clicked on Done, and by that time, I've been timed out. Three times in a row and now half an hour wasted, with the app still not downloaded. Any idea what the problem is?

Settings>iTunes/App Store...tap the ID shown...sign out...now, sign back in. See if doing this fixes things.
No, I'm afraid not, in fact I've now typed in ten times, still no joy!
Any of the content, on your phone, obtained with another Apple ID?
No, I thought the original problem might have been that I changed the Apple ID password using my laptop, but then forgot to change it on the iphone, but this has now been rectified.
Settings>iTunes/App store...tap the ID shown, sign out. Now, reset your phone: Press the Sleep/Wake button & Home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release. Once booted up, go back to Settings>iTunes/App store & sign back in.
