I just bought and Ipad earlier this week and last night i decided to download a film on it. I started to download it last night, its standard defination and it is 2.3GB. The thing is it's been downloading for over 12 hours now and it looks like it will take another 6 hours to complete. is there anyway I can make it download faster?

Yes. Use a faster Internet connection. I can download a 2.3GB movie in less than a hour - far less IIRC. I assume that your connection is quite slow.
You need a fast wifi for fast downloading if it is slow then it will take more time to download.
Will it still play as normal after it has been downloaded onto my ipad?
If downloaded movies is not corrupted, it will play normally.
