Jun 13, 2013 9:00 AM in response to gavinfromaberdeenby John Galt,The HP Laserjet P1102w is a wireless printer, which means it does not need its USB cable connected to your Express.
If you want to use it wirelessly, leave it disconnected.

Jun 13, 2013 1:48 PM in response to gavinfromaberdeenby John Galt,Your iPad can print to any AirPrint printer on the same wireless network, so be sure the HP printer is a client on the same wireless network as the iPad.
AirPort Utility is not required, and the printer will not appear in it.
Do not connect the printer's USB cable to anything; it's not necessary and will only complicate matters.
If the printer does not appear in an iPad app using the "share"
icon and selecting "Print", then restart your router. I presume that is your Express? If so, unplug it from the wall socket it and let it rest a moment. Power down your printer as well, and while you're at it, restart your iPad by pressing its Sleep / Wake and Home buttons simultaneously until the "Slide to power off" appears, and power it off. Then, power up the Express, the iPad, and the printer. The sequence is not important. Allow a moment or two for everything to start up, then see if the printer appears in the "share" icon. Nothing else is necessary.

Jun 14, 2013 12:40 PM in response to John Galtby gavinfromaberdeen,Hi John, I have tried your suggestion but every time I go to print a document, e-mail etc using the "share" icon, I get an option to select a printer, and when I choose this option I get a message saying "no air print printers were found".
Any other suggestions? Thanks.
