How do you unsubscribe to an event
Calendar will not permit one to delete a subscription; so how does one unsubscribe to a subscribed event?

OK, I solved my own issue: Click Calendars in OSx to reveal them. Find and click on the calendar that is generating the subscribed item. Right click and hit delete. In my case, the same subscription appeared twice when I created my iCloud account: Once under iCloud and once under Subscriptions. So I deleted both.
