Restore photos only from iCloud Backup?

Is it possible to restore only photos from an iCloud backup?

I have restored my iPhone twice from an iCLoud backup. Both times, photos have not downloaded, however everything else has. Checking my storage space online it looks like all my photos are still in iCloud, so i'm stuck as to what to do. I called Apple Technical Support, but was advised I would have ot purchase Applecare to continue. I have no issue doing this as long as my photos are retrived to my phone, but the rep said he couldnt gurantee that outcome.

Do you guys have any ideas?

You can't restore just photos, you can only restore the entire backup. You might try the solution posted by ezjules here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4076441?start=0&tstart=0, which involves connecting your phone to your charger, initiating the restore, then after it restarts and you provide your Apple ID passwords open the Photos app and leave it that way until it completes. Some have reported success with this.

You're welcome. If your older iTunes backup contains your photos you could restore to it, then import the recovered photos to your computer (see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083), then restore to your more recent iCloud backup and sync the recovered photos back to your phone from the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings.

This is why I was using the iCloud restore. The latest iTunes backup is over 3 months old (last time it was connected!). It was just to see if there was a manual way of Apple "Pushing" only a certain aspect of the iCloud backup (i.e photos) to my device. Thanks anyway!

Don't know what else to suggest, unless you have a bakup in iTunes that may included your photos that you can restore to.
