iPhone appointments not syncing to iClould.com calendar.

When I put appointment on iCloud.com calendar, it syncs to iPhone. However, when I calendar on iPhone, it doesn't sync to iClould.com calendar. How can I get entered appointments on iPhone to sync to iCloud.com calendar. Mail, contacts, and notes are syncing to iCloud.com. Thanks.
