Can't Connect to iCloud on iMac

Can't connect to iCloud. Keep getting "Connection Error" iCloud encountered error while connecting to server.

I know my Apple id is correct as is my password. Any suggestions?

iMac, OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4), 3.2 GHz Intel Core i5
