mid 2012 cmd-tab to switch windows?

Hello!

Working with a air 13' mid 2012, it seems I cannot switch an app's open windows with the keystroke cmd-tab… I have to use the 4-fingers-down-swipe and select it manually.

I hope I just oversaw a setting or something, could someone please point me to the place where to set this?
