My itunes icon is on my desktop but no longer in applications. How do I have it in both places

• Drag the iTunes icon back to the Applications folder.
• Press the key combination ⌘L (cmd-L) to create an alias.
• Drag the alias from the Applications folder to the Desktop.

iTunes should be kept in the Applications folder so future updates can find it. Drag and drop it back in there. Or, alternatively, click on it. Press command-c (copy). Then click on the Applications folder. Then press option-command-v (move/paste).

To have an iTunes icon on the desktop you should make an alias to iTunes and put that on the desktop (via drag and drop). (Make an alias by control-clicking on the icon and selecting "Make Alias").
