Out of Space

Out of Space

I am downloading 900 pictures, most of which are raw, into iPhoto and I'm getting a message that I'm out of space. I have a 1 TB hard drive with 500gb available. What's up?

Empty the trash in the Dock as well as iPhoto’s trash!

I emptied my HD trash. I didn't even know I had an iPhoto trash. But on your recommendation I emptied the iPhoto trash too. It actually took longer than the HD trash. I've had iPhoto for years and this was the 1st time I emptied the trash. Thaks for your help.
