I am mostly working with still images and want to know how you superimpose one image over another in FCP. For example, I want to place a photo of a person over a logo. How do I do that? Thanks

Thanks, now another question. The logo has a transparent background, done in Photoshop. In FCP the logo has white background, how do I keep the background transparent?
Is white the background of the viewer or is the PSD file missing the transparency channel in FCP? Look in the inspector and see the extended specs. Post screen shots. What are the file specs? Complete details.
the image is Tiff/213kb. It is trasparent in Photoshop PSD, but I imported as Tiff.

Try saving in PSD format.
I took the screen shot of FCP screen, the only option is to save as Tif. I'll try saving logo as PSD. Thanks.

FCP says it's a JPEG. It probably doesn't have a saved alpha channel.
