Migration Assistant seems not to work well for some with Logic. Probably the easiest way to sort this would be to re-install the content.
You could check Library:Application Support:Logic and Library:Application Support:GarageBand for the "missing" files to see if the really are there.
If they are, it may be a Spotlight issue, which can be fixed by 're-building' the Spotlight Index.

I rebuilt Spotlight AND checked for the files in the library folders...a fail on both accounts.
It seems that some of the EXS files were not "migrated" over...this is my first real bad expereince with an Apple product/app...i feel like i used to feel with windoze...guess reinstalling is my only option then...I just hope i don't have to reinstall logic 8 AND logic 9 upgrade again...
