How can I fit a picture on an 8 by 10 page without losing sides

Two choices

1 - you crop the photo to 8x10 so you control exactly what is printed

or

2 - select the photo and print - select the printer, the print size (8x10) and the paper size and click customize - right click on the preview and select fit to frame to print the whole photos with white fill

Since the image isn't in the 8 x 10 size ratio you'll need to select 8 x 10 borderless paper size and then create a custom size based on the size ratio of the image. That is if the image if from a digital camera it will have an 4:3 size ratio. So make it a custom size of 8 x 6 and you'll get

But how do I find the page you so kindly showed me with the arrow? I can go to the Customize page, and I can see the options on the left. But I don't see the list you revealed in your picture. I really am trying!

When I follow all the above instructions and click customize, I simply get an editing list on the right, Rotate, Enhance, Fix Red-Eye and so on. I am not able to find "select fit to frame."

You have to be in the Print mode. What you're describing is the Edit mode. Select the thumbnail of the photo you want to print and type Command + P. From there is should be self explanatory.

Not sure what directions your are following - but the ones I've posted twice are the directions

3 - select the printer,

6 - then click customize
