Why does my screen go blank when I mouse cllick?

About once a week when I mouse click the screen goes blank - grey, dark or once- blue stripes. It never happened before I upgraded to Snow Leopard (had leopard before). I've run disk utility and reistalled snow leopard to no avail. what could be causing this?
