Q: Advice for Buying an iPad for Child

I am thinking about getting an iPad as a gift for my child who is graduating from kindergarten this month.

It probably is a matter a preference but what would be decent size to get, a 32GB or 64GB? It would be a shared device in the family. Pictures would probably be backed up to iTunes regularly. So it would mostly be filled with kids apps for learning and reading.

Also, is it worth paying extra for the cellular version or is the wi-fi only version fine?

Get the iPad Mini; it's lighter.

Forget about cellular unless you are going to use it out-door frequently.

What's the screen dimension difference between the mini and the regular? I know the mini is 7.9 inches. Trying to find the dimensions for the regular...

Aside from the size and weight. Is the technology basically the same or does the mini have better tech and materials built into it?
