Back up problem

If you can't backup your iPod via iTunes by:

Then you can't back up the iPod. However, a data recovery company may be able to do it. Not cheap.

Besides restoring from an existing backup you may be able to get some photos by:

Only be getting them from your photostreeam. Yu can't get them from your iPod now.

Using Photo Stream

After your photos have been imported from your Camera Roll or Saved Photos, you can use iTunes to sync them back to your device.
