Hey friend Damien, sorry my iPhone 4 (16 GB - White) by T-Mobile does not support 4G capable... Only 3G network..

Unfortunately, the cellular LTE and 4G network are NOT supported on my iPhone 4... Only on iPhone 5, 5S, & 5C for which they have LTE and 4G + ultrafast wireless is very expensive over $550 each when I don't want them.... I would like to keep using my iPhone 4 (16 GB - White) forever in more than 30 years lifetime warranty after I purchased since July 2002, now about 12 years ago...

Just a clarification for both Ashley and Damien about T-mobile's network:

3G- UTMS most common and reliable data network

4G is the HSPA+ network

LTE fastest/latest and greatest cellular data network

Notes:

3G/4G only works on the the 4S on the 1900mhz refarmed band.

Otherwise its 1700/2100 AWS which is not compatible with the 4/4S.

The iphone 4 only supports 3G.

The 4S supports up to 4G (but on these bands: 850, 900, 1900, 2100)

The 5 (C and S also) support everything and LTE.

Lastly Ashley, the iPhone 4 was released in 2010... how can you have a warranty before the iPhone was created?

Damien,

Spot on, yes it is possible for iphone 4S to use 4G LTE.

No. It's not. You don't know what you're talking about.

The indicator in the status bar that says "4G" indicates that the phone is connected to an HSPA+ network, which is technically considered "4G" by the ITU and the carriers. It is NOT the same as LTE, which is what most people are referring to when they say "4G".

The iPhone 4S does NOT contain the necessary hardware to connect to an LTE network.
