Strange filesharing issue between 10.6 and 10.8
Here is what I got:
- An iMac running 10.8.4
- A Macbook running 10.6.8
I connect from the Macbook to the iMac in the Finder using the account name of the user on the iMac over AFP. I open the home folder of the user and now I want to copy a file there using drag&drop. What happens next drives me crazy:
- The Finder asks for the password of the user (com.apple.desktopservices)
- When I click on cancel I get an empty file with 0 bytes in the target directory.
- When I enter the password an empty file with 0 bytes is created. Then the finder asks if I want to replace that file.
- When I say no I also get an empty file with 0 bytes in the target directory.
- When I say yes the Finder says that it can't finish the process because a file with the name "" already exists. I also end up the a file of 0 bytes in the target directory.
What's wrong here?
