Tunes 11.0.4 has strange issue of HD Movie on Home Sharing.

I found "hdvd" field of iTunes mp4 tags from following link.

http://help.mp3tag.de/main_tags.html

Also I found hdvd field accepts 0 (SD), 1 (720p) and 2 (1080p).

At first I tried to set hdvd tag into video file in "TV Show" category via mp3tag.exe on Windows 7, it works well as I expected.

iTunes recognized as HD contents and renamed file names.

Home Sharing works well as it was before.

The second I tested in "Movie" category in the same way, it works well on iTunes playback.

But HD video files are disappeared on my list of Home Sharing.

The third I tested on iTunes 11.0.4 installed on iMac (10.8.4), the result was the same as on Windows.

HD video files are disappeared on my list of Home Sharing.

Then I set hdvd to blank again, the "Movie" files are appeared correctly on my list of Home Sharing (both Windows host and Mac host).

What is the difference between "Movie" and "TV Show"?

I write some additional information.

  1. HD Videos set hdvd to 2 (1080p) are disappeared on Home Sharing (both "Movie" and "TV Show").
  2. HD Videos set hdvd to 1 (720p) are appeared on Home Sharing (both "Movie" and "TV Show").
  3. The above 1 and 2 has occurred on both Mac and Windows.

So, I have recognized that setting hdvd to 2 (1080p) has not supported on Home Sharing yet.
