I am gutted i have tried all of this and the software says no problems found.
May just have to reset my hard drive.
Any other having more problems?
I did this in Windows 8.
Go to Regedit -> Edit -> Find -> Type Itunes64.msi -> Find Next ->
On the left side, There are a lot of folders, find the only open one named "SourceList", go to 1 folder above that, so it should the main folder of the source lest -> Right Click -> Delete -> OK
Now you're ready to install your latest itunest. just close the RegEdit and install itunes64
I just did this 10 minutes ago, hope it helps
Thanks so much Astroboy, it worked!
Thanks !!!!!!!
I realize this post is 2 years old but it just helped me out big time. Thanks!
Great work it helped me alot and finally i installed the latest version of itunes.
The only correction is searching for "itunes6464.msi" which is what the installer is currently called. But deleting the parent folder in the registry as Astroboy recommends will solve the problem and allow you to update iTunes.
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
