os x server upgrade

I have a mac mini with OS X 10.7.5 and Server. If I want to upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion, do I have to purchase the Server upgrade as well?

To upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion Server, first you have to upgrade to OS X Mountain Lion, so first of all, check that your computer is compatible > http://www.apple.com/osx/specs

If it's compatible, make a backup of your data with Time Machine and/or Carbon Copy Cloner, and check that your applications are compatible > http://www.roaringapps.com

After checking that, open the App Store and purchase OS X Mountain Lion. When the download finishes, the OS X installer will appear, so follow the steps to upgrade to Mountain Lion.

After upgrading, you will be using the client OS X Mountain Lion version. Now, open the App Store again and purchase OS X Server. This will be downloaded as an app, so just open it and follow the steps to set up OS X Server

Wondering if you might be able/willing to help: I have a Lion Server I need to update (or migrate) to Mountain Lion Server (Mavericks sever is the end game plan). So would I first upgrade the base OS on the machine to Mountain Lion then run a Mountain Lion server upgrade?

If the above is correct than suffice to say - I also have a separate Mountain Lion Server to which I would first update the base OS to Mavericks - then install Mavericks server over top of that?

I understand there's also a migration assistant component for migrating existing configs: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5996
