Jun 16, 2013 9:42 AM in response to SueMaxby amy_lou,when you plug in the device which you're trying to restore, and you choose 'restore from backup' in itunes, it will present you with a list of all the backups that will be able to go onto the device, and that will let you know which of your backups is compatible in your particular situation

Jun 16, 2013 9:44 AM in response to amy_louby SueMax,Thanks very much for replying - could I add - is an ios5 backup compatible with an iPhone now running ios6? I am not sure why I could not see my own backups when I did this - only my son's ios6 iPos Touch ones.
