Jun 16, 2013 9:42 AMby amy_lou,when you plug in the device which you're trying to restore, and you choose 'restore from backup' in itunes, it will present you with a list of all the backups that will be able to go onto the device, and that will let you know which of your backups is compatible in your particular situation
